Abdulla Hourani

Physician, AI researcher, and deep tech visionary, Abdulla Hourani leads Project Quintessence with a singular goal: to radically improve patient outcomes by merging clinical wisdom with technological intelligence.
After years of witnessing systemic delays and inefficiencies in real-world patient care, Hourani began integrating his knowledge of medicine with cutting-edge expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, and statistical modeling. He developed highly specialized tools for ICU deterioration prediction, cardiac diagnostics, and treatment personalization—pushing the limits of what modern medicine can achieve with intelligent systems.
Passionate about cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, Hourani is deeply engaged in research and innovation in these fields. He is also a dedicated medical educator who enjoys mentoring and teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals, combining academic rigor with real-world application.

Mohammad Belal
Computer Vision & Medical Robotics
PhD in Robotics (in progress), M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering
Mohammad Belal is a researcher and engineer specializing in robotic perception and AI-driven vision systems for healthcare. With a background in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc., University of Sharjah; M.Sc., Khalifa University), he is currently pursuing his PhD in Robotics at Khalifa University, where he also serves as a Teaching and Research Assistant in Mechanical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
His work focuses on integrating object detection and computer vision into robotic systems, enabling intelligent assistance in clinical environments. From surgical robotics to smart detection of clinical devices and human movement, Mohammad brings both academic rigor and applied innovation to the foundation.
He previously served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Sharjah and is passionate about leveraging robotics to solve high-impact challenges in real-world medical settings.

Michał Oręziak is a passionate research advocate and full-stack engineer focused on ethical and sustainable technology. As a Computer Science student, he's already made a mark in civic tech by building po8klasie, a research-driven school selection platform used by thousands annually across Poland.
At Project Quintessence, Michał leads the design and development of secure, scalable, and user-centric software infrastructure, including clinical interfaces, model deployment systems, and explainability dashboards for high-stakes AI.
He also serves as a front-end engineer at QED.ai, building software used across health and agriculture sectors in developing countries. Michał is the Vice President of the CyberSecurity Student Club at the Military University of Technology and a board member of the All Tech is Human University Network, where he promotes ethical innovation and tech-for-good initiatives.

Matt Clark is a robotics veteran with over 12 years of experience in hardware-software systems and more than 7 years building intelligent robotics solutions within Fortune 500 companies. Holding a B.S. in Electronics Engineering and an A.S. in Robotics Engineering, he brings unmatched expertise in building robust, autonomous systems for complex environments.
At Project Quintessence, Matt leads automation and robotics initiatives—developing intelligent platforms for medical robotics, procedural assistance, and AI-augmented diagnostics. From prototyping to full-stack integration, his systems aim to close the gap between research and real-world clinical utility.
With a proven track record of delivering advanced automation projects across industries, Matt brings a creative mind, practical engineering rigor, and a relentless passion for solving high-impact healthcare problems. Outside of work, he maintains an expansive personal portfolio of software and hardware inventions.
